auto shut off?

Whenever i leave my computer idle for more than about 2 hours or more, my broadband connection loses connection throughout the whole house and i have to restart the routers, motems, etc. What do you guys think i can do to help stop this? I"d like to at least leave my computer on overnight to finish up some downloading. Thanks for any help.

ok what Router are you using? On most Routers you will have onje or two options open to you either or both of these in the settings;

Connect on demand:Max Idel Time (Set this as off or un-tick the radio button)

Keep Alive:Redial Period (Set this to the lowest setting you can)

This should solve your problem unless your cut off ISP side....buit then these setting should also stop that too.
