What's the best way to lap the HS?

The way I do it to make sure that flatness results is to get something very flat and wrap fine grit sand paper around it. Then sand making sure your not tilting anything. Though I am sure someone out there has a better method!

lay the sandpaper on a peice of glass and hold the part that you wanna lapp and sand it across the flat surface (glass)

You also want to change the grit of the paper you are using after a while, always getting finer until the hsf shines back at you :)

I can't give you a URL, but if you go into google and search on lapping heatsinks, there are some good articles in there.

Start with 400 grit wet it then sand in a circular motion to avoid tipping. keep paper wet i use body sand paper after u fill the grit just rinse it off and go again. i use 600 for the final step. a glass pain or marble counter top works well hope this helps. also most cycle machine shops have head planers that work great too $8-10 bucks will save your arms from the sore muscles the next day. LOL MORE IS NEVER ENOUGH.
