it runs rock stable at 983 MHz with a vcore of 1.888 but at 992 i get a windows registry error followed by a bsod.

my system is:
duron 750 AKCA @ 983, 1.888v core voltage
asus a7m mobo
256mb pc2100 cas 2.5
psu is a 300watt macron (it came with the case and definitely needs a replace)
and it's cooled by a bad globalwin HSF. full load temp is 52-53 C
I need help please!! what's the problem?

Some CPU's react badly to temps and yours is borderline hot. I have seen the BSOD many times when my temps get out of hand. Try running scandisk after a BSOD and see what errors it shows. This will help you out and also record what error brings on the BSOD and go to M$ database and see what they say.

the 750s aren't very good overclockers the 600s are way better.
