Some of you were saying that apple is the first 128 bit processor, thats not exactly true. Its like intel and amd's claim that they are "64 bit." They arent TRUE 64 bit because not all pathways inside the m-processor are 64 bit. Same with apple, apple is like all other super computers, i dont know the real name for them but i call it "REAL" 64 bit. If i am wrong, sorry... that was my take on some information i have been reading. By the time amd comes out with the quad 133 bus (533mhz), intel will most likely have adopted a similar architecture (instead of 100x4, maybe 133). one mroe question, why cant bus speeds be 200mhz+ x multiplier. I know that some parts of a computer cant handle those speeds, but why not phase those legacy drives out and create drives that can handle the faster speeds? Its all bull****, and amd and intel and other companies are making money, while we sit on our asses and dont have the opportunity to buy these products which do exist!

Bro, it isnt just AMD's and Intel's market scam, actually, its not there fault at all. Just think how many little companies have built your computer. I mean, your ram alone must have be manufactured by at least three companies with all those chips and PCBs.

The reason AMD doesnt have a pure 200MHz FSB because that would create even more heat, take twice the Power and voltage to the already hazardous motherboards and take even more room up.

Intel's 100x4 Quad Pump architexture is there future, the next three years. This was in production and planning for more than 4 years.

Now AMD has been planning the BIG jump to 133x4 (533MHz) and also at the same time introduce QDR-Ram. With 533MHz FSB and 533MHz Ram, life will be sweet :)

can you imagine the BANDWIDTH with that kind of ram and processing power....WOW!!!! too bad it is off in the distant future...well I guess we will just have to O/C and see if we can create that kind of speed with what we have now :)

I see your point, but i am sure that 200mhz fsb's is possible. Why wouldnt it be? ddr2700 ram is said to be able to handle 200mhz speeds, then why wouldnt a motherboard built with similar tech work? There has to be another reason for either company not to release it though, it could possible be heat, maybe it is the lack of i/o ports from the motherboard that could handle such a high speed. 533mhz qsrdram should be amazing!
