Kind of lost here and would appreciate any and all help . I have done a little dabbling with OC'ing but since my recent purchase of a DURON 900 , I'm not really sure how to , or where to put the silicone when applying a TEC to this little mother . I am afraid of putting it on the L1 , L2 ( etc , etc ) and that itty bitty , teeny weeny IC that are mounted on the top . If anyone can assist as to how and where to apply the silcone and how to keep it from interferring with the slug and the HS compound , that would be great . I have already made one attempt and all I got was that the silicone somehow messed with the slug ( needless to say , I sure couldn't see under there to know for sure what happened or why , but my temps went almost 20F higher WITH the TEC attached , then without ). So I immediately ripped off the silicone ( meanwhile worrying my ass off that I was going to peel off one of those runs or that microscopic IC that is mounted on top ) and went back to my original HSF combo for now. Thanks for any help anyone can supply here .

You betcha . I would fly like an eagle . But hey , you know the song .... (lol ) But seriously ... has anybody else had this kind of situation ? ( I know I can't be the only dumbass who bought a DURON )
Just trying to cool it down a little . Right now she runs at 98.6 F / 37C idle and at about 109 F under load .Haven't had much luck with high numbers in the Mhz department , but was only attempting over 1gig . ( haven't had much luck there either . only got up to 968 ... not a heck of an increase , but hey .... its a start - lol )

did you bridge your L1s? if you didn't you can find this trick on the site in the tips/tricks part....as for the temps, if those degrees are F, they aren't bad....mine run about 115 full load and 84 idle in the F dept...but in C it runs about 29idle and 45full....i saw a site that talked about siliconing the TBird for TECs....if i find it i will update my post
