Hi,

I have been having some trouble with temps and overclocking.
The Temps have been hotter here lately, in the 80's.
The temps a few weeks ago were in the upper 70's and my CPU temps were only at 45-48C max.

I have been trying to overclock a little higher, hoping to hit 1550 +.
I cant get stable past 1510. I get blue screen of death messages or self re- boots if I try to get higher. Maybe its my Harddrive? Its only a 5400 rpm, 66mhz drive.

I am now getting Temp problems also.
Here is the before and after more overclocking (both Stable, with my Case off).....

Before: (using jumpers on board)
Front Bus: 11x133, 1.73v on core, 42c Idle/46c load, Ambiant 75f

After: (using Bios settings, jumperless)
Front Bus: 11x136, 1.79v on core, 48C idle/ 52c load, Ambiant 85f

So anyway, what can I do to get this to 1550 Stable and keep the temps down?
Thanks!

you could try using a 80mm fan on the wbk38 might be cooler and quieter. your vcore is low so I say more fans in the case and turn the AC on ;¬)

I dont have A/C...doh!! I already have a Delta fan on the WBK and another 60mm fan pointing toward the side of the heatsink. I also have 1 exhaust fan and a front fan.

Have you used WPCREDIT registry hack to get the temps down? This hack alone can get you down 10c!! Get it at http://www.tweakfiles.com It uses the halt command for your CPU. I lost 7c doing this but also lost use of my SB soundcard, I just bought a Yamaha one.

I'd recommend getting at least a 300 watt power supply for your rig. Those chips need a lot of juice.

u could allways try bumping up the voltage to 1.85 to see if the blue screen goes away since u said your doing 1.79 and u could allways look into a better hsf since u said yours was in teh 50s now thats quite high for my standards.
