i was overclocking my k6-2 350 and everything was going fine but then when i booted it made this beeeeeeeeeeeeep noise and wouldn't stop. My first thought was that I fried the processer so i slipped and old pentium 166 in and got the same response. I looked in the motherboard (fic va-503+) manual and it said the noise ment the video card was bad so i plopped an old pci trident in to see if it would work. Same response. The only thing that I could think of is the motherboard. Any input as to what went wrong?
ps i have an lcd monitor could that be it?

It's most likely the memory. Take it out and place it in another slot. That should solve your problem

Maybe clearing the CMOS may solve these gremlins.

Remove power from machine
Clear the CMOS by jumper.
Reset to normal bus settings and multipliers.
Take memory out of slots, and put it back.
Re-instate power.
Cross Fingers, toes and other twisty things. Good luck brother

Yeah, like he says.
Oh, I vote for memory being improperly seated. 'Can I get "Doh!" and other new words in the English language for $500 please Alex."
