I'm using Win XP Professional, and I would like to have some programs start automatically on one user account, however not open on start-up in other accounts (i.e.: I'd like Trillian to start on my account, but not startup on my brothers when he logs in).

Anyone know of a way to do this? Seems everything I try applies to ALL users.

Place shortcuts in your user start up folder.

windows\documents and settings\*username*\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

Set the programs to not start automatically in their settings. Let them start from your user startup folder.

when installing software in your computer, it gives you 2 options to start this program

1-all users
2-You ONLY.
