Since i put my 9800n/p in my system i can't overclock anymore. I can boot in windows but immediately after i start some games i end up with BSOD. Sometimes with no particular message, sometimes with some ati file message...
Could it be my power supply not givin me enough power?
With my old ti4200 i am able to go up to 170 MHz FSB.
When i put the old card in, everythin is allrite.

Does your board have AGP/Pci lock. If not, your AGP speed is probably runing out of specs and Radeon 9800 cant handle it.....

Ah ha, you still have the remains of the old GeForce drivers on the system when you switched. I had a similar problem. You almost have to do a reformat and reinstall Windows again when you switch from GF to Radeon.

If you put the old card back in, then it reinstalled the GeForce drivers again.

This maybe a stupid question, but could it be a bad card?

but i really dont see how could it be bad when the overclock of CPU has nothin to do with it, except that overclockin drains more power from the PSU. I think that is the reason why i am gettin this BSOD. I know that the best way to test it is to put another PSU more powerful PSU inside but im a it short of money now for such experiments. lol

You did plug the extra power cable into the vid card, right? Should be a floppy drive connector that plugs into the end of the vid card.

I'm just saying that maybe a chip or something on the card is burnt out and is sending the wrong kind of information to the CPU.Maybe you can try the card on a buddies rig and see what happens.
I'm no expert.I'm just trying to help narrow down the possibilities.

I think it's your PSU. 300W is getting too crappy for your setup. What is your 12V rail at? 1GB of DDR and that 9800pro are drawing a ton of amps, more than your PSU is able to suplly. I would at least get a 400W PSU and make it fast! If your current PSU goes it'll prolly take half your system with it in the process...

It might not be the power supply...

There are 90% chances that it is.

O.K. i tried my friends PSU and i still get the BSOD.
I was thinkin about memory. I am runnin 2x512MB Samsung PC2700 on most agressive timings 2-2-2-5
At 166 FSB it should be its speed-333 MHz, but maybe these timings are too asgressive.
Hmm, i will tra different, slower timings when i come home.
