Hello Everyone, I'm new to this forum and also to overclocking.

I have successfully overclocked my xp2000 to 1.88Ghz. Runs 49deg. stable using stock amd heatsink and fan.

12.5x
152mhz
1.8v
DDR Cas latency = 2.0

I got:
Athlon XP2000+
Asus a7v8x kt400
generic 256mb=pc2700
Samsung 256mb=pc3200
Ati Radeon 9100 128mb ddr.

It doesn't run stable at 1.89Ghz, and 1.9ghz games freeze, or I get bluescreens.

Do you think I should unlock my CPU using these instructions:
https://www.chillblast.com/guides/XPmult.asp

Will it go upto 2Ghz? I understand that I will need better cooling I found this to the best at the moment in air cooling:

Thank you.

U have a palamino chip so where your at is prolly your max. I have a 2000+ xp green AGOIA Y chip in my secondary rig and its max overclock was 1850 mhz. So I would say ur at your limit.

It would be a good idea if you use prime 95 to really test for stability.. And 3dmark 2001...

95 http://www.mersenne.org/prime.htm
3dmark http://www.futuremark.com/download/

Did you read through this?? http://www.overclockers.com/topiclist/index04.asp#BEGINNER%20GUIDES

Here's some more info on those Palaminos..http://forum.oc-forums.com/vb/search.php?s=&action=showresults&searchid=565210&sortby=lastpost&sortorder=descending
