I own a asus ti4200S orginal speeds 250/550... Now here is the problem... I have successfully OC'ed this card at 300/600 and above for over 5 months... But now Ive been getting problems... When I OC I get problems with my games.. The screen jumps frames now and then... kind of like lag... When I run at original clock speeds the card is fine most of the times... but sometimes the same problem occurs at original speeds....

Anyone with similar problems ?? Any sollutions...

sounds like a heat problem, try blowing the dust out of the fan

Already done that... Is there a way to check the card temp ??

IMO it sounds more like a driver issue if it happens at stock speeds. i would try a different driver. as far checking the heat temp of the card goes...........asus probe might do the trick but if youre like me you didnt bother with the damn asus cd and went straight for the detonators.......which leaves that suggestion useless

That happened to me w/my 4600 but I put the clock speeds down from 715 on my core to 710;)

Hmm... damnit...

Ive tried every driver possible and same thing every damn time... Could the card be ****ed up or is it just an heat issue ?? Im gonna try and increase the airflow around the card later today and see what happens... Running at stock speeds at the moment and still getting problems... I noticed one more thing... I assume it has to do with the videocard failure... The sound "laggs" also at the same time the picture freezes... It couldnt be something with my soundcard that makes the pictures freeze.. ??

Thnx

BTW.... For anyone still reading this thread... I found the sollution to my problem... It wasnt a ovetheating issue... Nor a driver issue... But a windows issue... Go figure... I reinstalled XP and installed 52.70 forceware drivers... And now everything works fine again... running at 300/610 rockstable... Too bad the new drivers just doesnt perform as well as some of the older ones... 13500 in 3dmark 2001... =(

You would probably be better off with an older driver. The forceware drivers are made to help speed up the FX series.
