any one know what is the best overclocking 1.8A is
SL6SN C1
SL6S6 C1
SL6QL D1
SL6LA C1
SL6E6 C1
SL68Q B0
SL66Q B0
SL63X B0
SL62R B0
SL62P B0
these a list of all the ones i can find with stepping versions
what is the best stepping version?
the SL62R runs on 1.475v and its Thermal Design is restricted to <= 45W of heat so im thinking thats not going to be any good
im only going going to be useing air cooling i just want the highest overclock so finding a list of the best seems a good place to start
Long story short, SL6LA will get you 2.8~3Ghz for sure, But if it comes down to me, I'd go with SL6QL... D1 is a yummy :D
Cross out all of the B0 steppings right off the bat. If I was a bettin' man, I'd put my money on the D1 stepping. The C1 steppings should all easily do 3+ gig too.

my 1.8m (mobile) is rock stable at 250 FSB =3.0 GHz with only 1.55 vcore, using my IC7 and P4c800-E..:) im too lazy too remove it to look at the markings..

I bet there's only a 200 Mhz difference in overclock between the highest overclocker and the lowest overclocker out of that batch. My SL66Q is not far from the SL6LA (best known 1.8A chip) Do you have the chance to hand pick from those chips?

There are a few SSpecs you left out -- there are D1 stepping 1.8A's out there. Someone here on this forum has one of those D1 steppings on an 865/875 chipset doing 3.52ghz (195fsb) and it hauls serious ass!
SL6LA, should you ever see one. A good one will exceed the average D1 2.4c's, so I wouldn't kill yourself to get a D1. It is more likely to find than a SL6LA though.

all runtime carries is SL6LAs and SL66Qs (in OEM), you can call them and request a SL6LA I'm pretty sure. I called in advanced and the guy told me all they had were SL6LAs, but I ended up getting a SL66Q (maybe they got a new shipment in before they sent my chip out). I don't know any UK venders that would have any SL6LAs.

Well I’ve found a site that has 6 left in stock so I’m going to ring them 2moro see if they will tell me what they all are :) then i know my chance of getting one if they wont let me pick what one i want
ocuk would tell me what they had but cause they have so many of them they wouldn’t guarantee what I would get
