PC2700 DDR Ram is now going to start production and should be avail by end of this year.

Also, PC5400 QDR Ram should be out by early next year. I'm thinking that the 333MHz bus Athlon could possibly have support for this massive amount of bandwidth. Wouldnt that be nice :)

PC2700 is already being produced (in fact has been for ages), it's just the economic viability of it that is keeping it from the general market at the moment. I got some that was practically hand made in Taipei. Similar to graphics card memory being mounted on a Dimm in a way.

if VIA would get off their ass and produce a decent chipset, everyone would buy the corsair memory...

as it is, with a VIA chipset, you probably have a 50/50 chance of being able to go over 150fsb...remember the good old days of 440BX...a 100MHz chipset that could easily go 150MHz and beyond without a problem...

i think VIA could learn a lesson or two from intel...
the best thing for all of us would be for AMD to start mass production of chipsets...but i don't think that's going to happen any time soon
