View Full Version : How much more can my 1.4 Baby take??
Hi guys, these forums are great source of info...thanks all!
To get to the point, I have an 1.4 Athlon T-bird baby, and I cant get it passed 1.51 GHZ. I'm using default voltage and my combination of FSB and Multiplier is 137 by 11X. How many of you guys with 1.4 are getting passed 1.5 with default voltage (Vcore). Any suggestion to increase oc?
Also I'm using an SK6 no temp problems

no problem, we are just trying to get rid of it. Thanks for changing it!

Have you tried raising the voltage at all? If you have the thermalright SK6 I guess you're ok for temps, so it shouldn't be a problem. Also, have you tried a lower fsb/higher multiplier to make sure it's not something else in the system stopping you?

It sounds good. What is the stepping and serial of your 1.4 Ghz TBird, where did you buy it, and where did you get your Abit KG7 Raid mobo, is the 1.85V maximum VCore setting of the KG7 a limiting factor?
Where did you buy your 512Mb DDR Sticks?
What kind of cooling are you using?
I'm after lowering the FSB to 135Mhz and bump up the multiplier to 11.5X it running stable now at 1557Mhz after playing several hours of CS.
Mad overclockers the steppng of my processor is 4 and serial is AHj*** something. Anyhow I'm very happy with the oc. I'll soon be at 1.6GHz
Wish me luck lads!
