I was planing on buying a Sapphire 9800 non-pro

they dont have them anymore

I can get a connect 3D 9800

Does anyone have it???

I heard Connect3D 9800 P are not very good cards due to the poor memory they are using. I mean that you'll probably get the same perf as any other 9800Pro, but o/c is not as good as Sapphire or Hercules.

I have a ATI 9800NP and a Sapphire. Think I got an especially good Sapphire @420 core/400 memory. The difference in the memory gave me another 200 point on 3DMARK03, even though the ATI core would go up to 450, the infieon memory stopped at 320. And yes I'll be Ebaying the ATI card. Just always wanted to try out a couple of em side by side.

The Sapphire is probably worth the 7% more than the Connect3D, but that's only in terms of overall happiness with the product.

Had a Sapphire 9500np that was simply awesome; got a Sapphire 9800np now that kicks just as much ass if not more...

Even with the worse memory, these NP's kick ass. It's still luck of the draw how good a one you get but they are all pretty nice it seems. Unless the extra 7% was no $ issues for you, just go for what you can afford.
