Thats a shame...you had a pretty good duron.....Its ok.
What do you have the 600 @, and what voltage?
I ma going to also mod my motherboard.
I want to get this baby around 1080.
that sucks! well, at least it wasn't a heft athlon with a hefty pricetag!! ;-)
as for oc'ing the 600... my little 600 is up and running at 1102mhz (10.5*105) and has been for almost a year! it takes 1.94v, but it's kept cool by an alpha pal6035 w/delta. just cool your 600 properly and let it fly!! :)
good luck!

If my experiences, as well as others who've posted here, are any indication, you may well be pleasantly surprised! From what I've seen, the DURON 600 / 650's are one of the best overclocking chips ever put on the market. I've got two of them, I've had them on both the A7V, as well as the A7V133 and have been able to get stable at over 1100MHz with each on either board. 85% over default with air cooling. I have also used the FOP32 to get there.
It looks like you've got a pretty good handle on what you're doing.
Post your results
GOOD LUCK!

Mine just didn't want to do a gig - had to run 2.32V through it to get it there. Damn chip :(

i m runnin it at 7 * 132(990) now with 1.85 volt
it only goes into windows sometime if set to 7*133(1000)
grr.......i still dun really understand the a7v board mod, it's like so complicated

I also have a Duron 600 alson. I cant figure out how to get my FSB up to 133. my MB says it supports it but I can only get it to 112.

my board is rev 1.05 and i m using the 1008 beta bios for my a7v
it's a strange thing that i can run 133 fsb on my board b/c according to everyone they say kt133 chips cant do more than 110+ fsb

i think maybe it's the pci that cant take the fast speed
try using a barebone system(video card, 1 stick ram and only the stuff required to bootup) and see if u can use higher fsb

I had a 650 that would, a 650 that wouldn't and a 700 that needed 2.12v to pass the 1000Mhz wall.
All about luck of the draw. BUT don't do a voltage modification without being very confident of your actions and don't use high voltages unless you have sufficient cooling.
Happy clocking...............
To go from 100 to 133 fsb you probably need to to set a jumper or it's a setting in bios. You shouldn't do this incrementally because when going from 100 to 133 the PCI multiplier changes from 1/3 to 1/4th.

~(-=->sky<-=-)~ i have rev. 1.01 so i am restricted to 107... does your board have a HSF on the northbridge compared to just a HS....maby thats why i cant pass 107 becuase at the time no 133bus cpus were around so they dident put a fan on the board .... and anybody else if i updated the bios would that help me o/c fsb or is it completely limitied to the REVISION?

My Gigabyte although pretty useless for O\Cing will hit a 115 Bus and that's a KT133 chipset. A few people told me I would be lucky to get it over 100 let alone 110.

no
there is only a heatsink on my north bridge.......cant afford blue orb.......
I've been able to run a DURON 600 to 1100MHz by using the multipliers on the A7V (10*110), not really much of a performance hit compared to my A7V133 with a DURON 600 @ 1.13G (8.5*133)

grrrr..........stupid duron 600 wont be stable at 1000.........so i m at 990
just like the speed i got from my duron....it's like all the processors i got will never do 1ghz....hehe
strange eh?
i used to have a 800eb @ 854
then the duron 750 @ 990
and now duron 600 @ 990
