YESSSSS! My little duron 750 MADE 1GHZ!!!! YESSSS (7.5*133)

It's a Epox 8K7A...I had to run voltage at 1.95...but, 1ghz is 1ghz. Temps are high though- 42C load, with case off.

It ran Prime95 for an hour, at which point at brought her back down to 900 (7.5*120; 1.75vCore).

I may bring it back down to 862 (7.5*115), since it runs stablely w/o voltage adjustments there...

but still! 1GHZ!! WOOOOHOOOO!!!!

Way to go Mav...I've got a Duron 750 that run's a gig stable at 1.85 on an Abit KT7AR...the 750's seem to be great chips..The earlier 750's usually didn't make it above 900-950 but some of the later AKCA chips are really sweet. That 42c load looks okay to me. I've been running 44c load for about 4 months now...Folding @ Home running 24/7 and I have not had any problems..congrats on the sweet chip. :)

Take it back to 1000. My Duron 650 runs at 1000 2.00 volts. Idle temps are 30C max load is around 47C. I've been running that for about a month watercooled.

lol but im on aircooling w/case open right now (i'm too lazy to close it up)

and my multiplier is locked...i forgot to unlock it, and there's no way in hell im taking this WBK off again hehe

At any rate, my tbird should be arriving next week...so I'm not gonna do too much to this duron lol :)

Still can't believe it made 1ghz...hehe

NICE JOB MAN!!!! How long have you had the duron 750? It took me about 10 days for my duron to hitt 1008 stable @ 1.888v. I am now @ 1012 perfectly stable.

LOL, im in my basement right now....you like that? Nice and cold down here. I got a 10C drop!

-ericCooling is probably a good idea but running a duron that is_not_unlocked is no big deal. You really have all you need to get great performance. Running a higher FSB with a different multipler is fun...but it usually requries good quality memory..among other things. ...hmm might be case modding time eh??? :)

WOW!!!! My Duron 600Mhz does 1125Mhz (150FSBx7.5) at 2.00 volts. Guess your OC is pretty good though.

My 750 only made it to 1050 even with a voltage mod. My 650 hit 1100 with the extra voltage. 600's and 650's were the best overclockers by far.

I'm going to mod my KT7A so I can take the voltage up to 2.7 and see if I can hit 1.5G or so!!!!!! It's possible. Wish me luck!

Errm - if you want to then good luck I guess. I wouldn't run 2.7V through mine, I'm having a hard enough time cooling it at 2.32V (temps reaching about 50C load with the hot weather right now). If you kill the chip though it's only a few bucks to replace it - though it does sound like you have a nice chip there, it'd be a shame to kill it. Still, if you must, then have fun - though I think 1.5gigs is a bit ambitious :D

ya man, we are. My water cooling setup will have NO PROBLEMS keeping my CPU at 35C under full load using Hot CPU Tester 2 Pro when it's doing 1500Mhz a 2.7 volts or so. Gotta save some money for post though. Damn things are nearly $25 each here in Canada, and I'm 17 and money is tight.
