Web cam setup (Commercial)

What's the process for setting up a webcam that can be viewed by employees of a company?
What software are you aware of etc?

I've used windows media encoder before. You can get it free from Microsoft's download page somewhere (or just google for it). You can then simply direct windows media player to ipaddy:portnumber and voila!

That's the only way i've set one up to stream over a network. Hope it helps somewhat.
