Running W2K +SP4, everything has been fine and dandy until this evening. Once finished booting the command prompt box appears stating the following

c:\>cd drivers\etc\
the system cannot find the path specified
c:\>hidden 32.exe Services.exe

it then goes away and my system becomes painfully sloooooow

looked in task manager and under CPU tab i have a program called services.exe using between 94% - 99% continuosly, i cant do anything with out the comp hanging

any solutions would be appreciated

Can you stop what ever the program is from task manager?

I would try to boot into safe mode, and find that file and kill it.

Check your boot.ini and start up folder for any instances to this thing.

tried to end process in taskmanager and i get the following

this is a critical syatem process. Task manager cannot end this process
