Look at the top of the main page for "CPU Database" there you will find alot of info on what people have acheived with this processor. This processor is generally considered a hard overclock. I got mine to go 550 (100x5.5 @ 2.8v) with an older generic hs/fan. Some of those guys are now using more modern thunderbird hs/fans ,watercooling, pelts..etc and achieving much higher speeds.
set the multiplier to 55.5 and set the voltage to 2.4 and it should be ok.
I'm not familiar with that particular motherboard but I've been successful with other socket 7 boards.
Some things that have worked for me;
Use a quality hsf. One from a socket A will fit and work great, provided you have enough clearence around the CPU. I've had very good results with Global Win FOP 32's.
Increase your core voltage. I've used the K6III's and had to get in the 2.7 range. However if you have a "+" series CPU, the default voltage is much lower, 2.0v default If I remember correctly. Keep this in mind when increasing.
See if you can increase your FSB. Although the K6's are not known to "like" a lot of FSB, I"ve gotten mine to run well at 112MHz.
Set your multiplier to 2X. When AMD introduced the higher speed K6's, the CPU was reworked to recognize 2X as 6X.
Use quality RAM and other peripherals, stick to accepted overclocking practices.
Good Luck!
Research, the key to a successful overclocking experience!
