barton... smp capable????

i just bought a barton 2500+ like a month ago... i now want an smp rig... is there any way that i can keep my old barton 2500+ and mod it for smp???

Though you may want to check the stepping and week codes on any new processor that you get to make sure you can unlock the multiplier.

Yes, they can be converted to SMP. The question is whether your CPU is multiplier locked, like AMD seems to be doing, these days with their latest CPU's. If your CPU is multiplier-locked, then that could pose a problem.
