Help: 800MHz duron.. spilled glue.. now big oil spot

And now my computer really slows down on simple tasks... it crawls in fact :(

I can only assume this is the cause, since I hadn't a chance to test the processor. it acts like it runs out of memory of something.. that's the kinda slow down I see. the mouse even stops... is this really what happened? HELLLLP!!!!!!

Where did you spill it and what kind of glue?

it's only thermal paste I spilled on the cpu. I didn't have a chance to test the cpu. I'm not even sure if this is the cause of my slowing problem. I have stripped the system to the bare essentials, but the problem is still there. I haven't tried replacing the memory. Could faulty memory be the problem? Is there a way to test the memory... doesn't the system run a memory test on power on... This is very disapointing... I've put a pretty good amount of money into this system, and it boggs down faster than a 200MHz... 24mb ram :(

should I just clode my eyes and order another processor?
