im planning on getting a CPU duct from ThermalTake, with that duct, id need a new 80x80 fan, because the way the standard fan is connected, it wont work, does anyone know how much air a standard P4 2.4c fan moves?

Im currently looking at a nice CM fan, that has blue neon, and moves 32CFM...

i dont think it's that much the fan than the heatsink that makes a difference. I think...

heya Ritalin, i dont think i understand wot you mean to be honest...
The standard fan is secured onto the HS not with screws, but with clips, that in their turn, keep the HS in place on the CPU..

oh, wait, i think i just answered my own question... i cant use a different fan, or the mod, because then my HS would stay on my CPU... so... if i want this mod, id have to find a new HS aswell... :/

You could always mod your current sink, drill holes in the outside fins on the ends and use wires to hold the fan in place. (kind of like on the Thermalright sinks)

dude, do not buy the thermalright ducting mod thing, just get a new fan, it will cost a bit more, but the ducting mod is a WASTE OF MONEY, besides the p4 stock heatsink isnt that great, so ud just be better off getting an slk-947 or an sp-94 with a good 92 mm fan...
