I dunno if it's the burning in thing or the operating system but for some reason, my Windows seems to run 100% stable @ 1400MHz!
I will post again if it crashes with 1.75v. Before, I needed 1.8v to hit 1400MHz, so somthing must be up!

If there is a program that is more intence than Prime95, could someone please suggest! I also have Hot CPU Tester Pro but it isnt as powerful since it doesnt detect an error that prime did once when I tried 1450MHz.

Nice OC man, my system did that at 1.8 also and would do 1470 at 1.85. If I used it in the MB I got now, lord knows where I could have gone when setting the vcore above 1.85. Nice OC and how long did you burn it in? And with what program?
Very nice OC!!! I found that folding@home raised my temperature the highest. Although it depends from computer to computer.

nothing really, I just left my Winamp on all the time and I got the visualizations going all the time. I know, it must be pretty intense since my mouse cursor slows right down to a crawl when the screen is maximized!

Great O/C, you gonna try for more?

I dont think so, come to think of it, 1.4GHz is overkill with anything. All I would ever need is 1GHz, thats it! The only reason I wanted to hit 1.4GHz was just to see how high I could go without burning out the chip with an insane amount of voltage. I'm happy with 1400MHz and running with defualt voltage, which I never thought was possible with my chip! Thanks AMD for making such a great birdy for me!
1GHz should be good for three years in my books. Just think of the possibilities in Graphics cards thou. GeForce4 is just around the corner and that would run sweet with a 1gig athlon!!

Not to be nosey (AtomicGuY, Trancebear, WildAndy) cough! cough!,,,
but what the heck is the point of having an Athlon processor with excess of 1.5GHz. It's completly pointless with even the most powerful apps like Aquanox and so forth. The future is Graphics, not processors, so lets not get to caried away with all this 1.5GHz+ crap but rather start braggin about our Geforce3's and how we hit 60fps in Quake3! I'm sad with my RIVA128 which will change soon, but yea, not in an offencsive way, you guys get the picture.
And 1.84GHz, come on, what are you gonna do with that, watch three dvd's at once?? Your processor probaly only runs at 50% with that 239MHz GeForce3 :)

Only 60 FPS? See below

Whoops nevermind. I didn't notice the OS until reading this a second time.

I used to feel the same way you do. But, I actually found a use for all those mhz. Try running folding@home sometime at your default speed of 1000mhz and then run it again with the overclock speed of 1400mhz. You should notice a big improvement in the time it takes to finish a work unit.
You are probably right, for most applications, 1ghz is plenty. But, for us folders, every mhz counts!

Actually, its just a modded version of 2000 with all the XP enhancements. Still 2000 but it has XP at heart :)
About 5 hours ago, I upped the voltage to 1.85v and I got the CPU running at 1430MHz (143x10). Everything runs PERFECT except Prime95 :(
