I have a A7V MOBO with all the dips and jumpers. I have had the system for about 5 months and then someone told me about this web site. I have the thing running at a std 700 mHz and it runs at 55C - 65C (using MOBO software to monitor temp). I tried to OverClock to 900 And it goes to 70C, I think way too hot so I put it back at 700 Mhz for now. Any Ideas about this heat? The CPU is all open on L1 had to use pencil trick, L2 all closed.

Welcome!
That board will let you do a lot of tinkering. I had a lot of fun with it and now I do the same with a A7V133. Are you using a stock HSF(heatsink-fan) on the processor? If so that is most likely why the temps are going up.

I am using the fan that the shop I bought it from put on it. It is pretty big and it has a fan on the top fastened with 4 screws. I will look, when I get home today to see if it has a name on the side or something. It does hace a copper base on it that makes contact with the cpu about 1/4" thick I think.

Well I had a pretty one sided debait but I got a fan from my local PC shop and it is a Vantec CCK-6035D. It runs at 6900 - 7200 RPM's it looks to be copper on bottom but aluminum (copper color) sides it has a fan guard. This baby is screeming Tim Tailor would say I put a 350 V-8 in the PC honey and it hits 945 MHZ's fin now and only 41C.
Man I can't Wait to se what this thing can do now.
David is ready now, Thanks for all the advise guys it payed off BIG TIME.
I'll be back with a update soon.
First of all, Welcome to the forums.
I just read a short review on that hsf, it was mentioned in another post. Looks like you did well.

I put it thourgh the test and all I get is 945 mHz @ 1.68V (9X105).
You know the weard thing is I ran all out at 117 FSB in the 900's, but switch it to 133 FSB and it drops to low 800's????
Why does this thing do this ? ???
settled at 945 for now!! >(
