View Full Version : Thunderbird 1200 (100MHz FSB)

Abit kt-7 raid mobo (3r bios)
thunderbird 1200 (12*100)
AXIA type B

I have tried to overclock it but once i take it above 1200 it starts locking up, i was told to run the fsb faster and multiplier slower ie 130*10 , 133*9.5
The machine wouldnt even power up, any ideas y?

The fastest i seem to b able to run the fsb at is 110 anything else and it wont start up!!!!

Please help

Welcome to the forum.

The KT7 will is only designed for a 100Mhz FSB. Going much over that will be a challenge. You might get 110 out of it if you're lucky.

Up the multiplier. You'll likely also need to increase the voltage as well. Remember that cooling is VERY important.

DId you check the to make sure the L! bridges are crossed properly. Kinda redundant but worht a look see.

The bridges are all joined, straight from the factory!!!!

I had a mate check them all till he found one of em at the suppliers!
