View Full Version : Is there a performance difference between 200&266 FSB on the CPU?

I have not been able to determine that there is a significant difference.
Where the mainboards using SDRAM are concerned it seems to me that the speed increase is only within the channel between the memory and the processor. The rest of the system would be so much slower that it wouldn't make much difference if any at all.
Could someone explain this further??

Thanks.

266,,,200 fsb ,,the speed the processor talks to the ram lol,,,It for sure makes a diference with 266 a difference that you can feel..

At 1 time 66mhz was a stock fsb then 100fsb came out and the systems all got way faster,,,now we have 133 fsb this is 1/3 faster than the old 100fsb so of course the system is faster matter of fact I know a faster fsb makes the overall system faster than say a 750 processor to a 900 processor,,I set my system to 150 fsb which =300fsb and this 1.2 oced to the higher fsb is way faster than at the stock 133{x2=266fsb}

So seriously the faster the fsb the faster the system !!
