Hello, I just got the intel promo pack (3.0 + mobo + XP) yesterday, and I am having some issues:
randamly restarting for no apparent reason (happened 2x so far)
Deadaim seems to cause a fault for some reason if i leave the computer going for 3 or 4 hours (happened 3x)

Isass.exe error (1x)

The onlything new is the cpu and mobo, I am doing dual ddr.

Any ideas on how to track down what is going wrong?

Everything is updated.

hmm.. I did just change my ram around to dimm slot 0 and 1 (so no dual ddr).. and it seems fine so far.

Is it really a requirement to have identical ram to do dual ddr?

Yes, identical memory is "recommended" for system stability.

Helps eliminate variables if you have twin sticks.

I don't understand.. the dual ddr was the problem.. even though I have 2 pc2700 256mb ram... Do i really have to have brand/rev/ms identical ram?

cough*.. problem is back.. it has to deal with the ram, I took one of the 2 256mb sticks out of the single channel config, and now I am getting random reboots and sometimes programs ending abnormally....

Anyone else have this problem?
