I've got a 1 gig axia y c chip here and I've been trying to overclock it.

I'm running a abit kt7a non raid board.
Antec 350 watt psu
Swiftech 462a cooler
Cpu temps 32 idle 40 loaded
Crucial case 2 133 256 megs
Bios Date: 05/11/2001 ID: ZT

the cpu is unlocked with pencil. I've got the multi up to
8.5x133=1130
at 1.85 volts
I/o 3.60

Anything over 8.5 will not boot. System needs bios reset to get running again.

or
12x100=1200
at 1.85 volts
I/o 3.60

Questions. when bumping up the i/o voltage, how high is too high? What exactly does i/o do?

Secondly, What settings should I try for?

145fsb X 8.5?

Or should i lower the FSB to 100 and see how high the multi will run at?

Thank you.

Best thing I can say is make sure you didn't cross the bridges...

really?

If I crossed the bridges would that allow me to hit some multipliers and not others? or would it make the cpu remain locked. Because at the moment I can adjust the mult to 8.5x133 or 12x100

maybe it's just a bum core.

it's running at 1235 right now 8.5x145
