Ok, I downloaded this but haven't had a chance to flash my mb until a couple of hrs ago. I like it. :D

I originally had 1008 and was able to do 260 fsb. Then I flashed to 1010 and lost 2mhz (258mhz). Both bios couldn't handle mem ratios that well. I couldn't even post with 3:2 (266) at any setting. With 1012, I can get into windows at 275 but not stable. Couldn't do that with 1008 or 1010. I'm at 260fsb completely stable again. 265 fsb was good but failed prime95 every once in a while but passed memtest86 (2 full passes). Since I'm folding, I wanted to stay on the safe side and I'm at 3.124ghz (260 fsb) completely stable.

Looks like they did something with the memory ratios though.

What did they do with the memory ratios? I think I am about ready to flash a new bios. I have been sitting on 1009 for like 3 months.

The memory ratios didn't work with certain types of memory layouts (ie. 32x64, 64x64, 32x8, etc). With my Twinmos PC3700, I couldn't do 3:2 (266). Wouldn't even post at any setting. I had some problems with 5:4 too but not as bad.

1008 was the best (general consensus) until 1012 came out. The jury is still out on 1012 but I like what I've seen so far.

That's strange cuz the ONLY change they made in 1012 is support for the P4 Extreme Edition. Anyways I'll give it a try this weekend to see if it gets me a few notches up. Right now I'm hitting a brick wall @251FSB...

That's what the text file and rumors say but I found that the dividers are much better with 1012 than it was with 1009 and 1010. Even better than 1008.

I have my 2.6c on with the 1012 bios. I am running 255 1:1 fsb for 3312. I am running prime right now with no hiccups. Also mind you this is with THE RETAIL HEATSINIK AND FAN!! Not to shabby if you ask me. The memory I am using is 512 of Corsair XMS 4000 500 mhz rated stuff. My vcore is at 1.625 and temps are 29c under no load and 49-51 under 2 prime instances. Not too shabby of a chip I may say.

Yeah, you gotta like that!

Yea Grandpa I'll have to say that the Kingston Hyper X PC4000 Ram stinks! I had better luck with my GeIL Value RAM PC3200. I just flashed 1012 today hoping to solve my lil Ram Issue and no such luck.

Hyper X PC4000 2 x 512 245 1:1 wont do 285 5:4 like me GeIL did.

Need Ram Advice.

Is that the Mushkin PC3500 lvlII? and the 303 is 1:1 or 5:4 ?

Thats Hott:mad:

Now looking at your specs I have the exact setup.

Asus P4P800 Deluxe
2.4c MO
1GB Kingston Hyper X PC4000
Sapphire 9500 Non-Pro Softmoded
