How long would you guys say that DDR will be the mainstream for Intel Desktop Motherboards before DDR2 replaces it?
Thanks, Ian

Reading Intel plans for socket T motherboards, DDR2 will take over when they come out but I forget when. Late summer I think. Motherboards of socket T with DDR ram will still be produced but as value boards.

I'm building a fairly inexpensive computer for a friend based around a P4 2.53 (533) and an intel 865 motherboard. I'm not sure whether to tell him to pay the difference for DDR400 or just get the DDR266 as thats all that motherboard can handle with dual channel and 533FSB.
