That's a serious overclock. I wonder how long the cpu will run at that speed without croaking.

2.15 volts seems like a lot to crank into a cpu.

More impressive than the overclock is the enclosure that holds all the cooling parts such as.. An Opel Corsa’84 Heater core, A 2000 [l/h] submersible pump, A 3 liter PVC reservoir.. ( His PC's fine but his car overheats now.. hehe ).. anyway can you imagine going to a lan party with this as well as a PC ( I swear that things bigger than my room)

That is definitely a serious overclock. I want to get a 1.33 AYHJA soon, I think I'll be more conservative though and hope for about 1.5gigs out of it.

Hehe, I was putting 2.32V through my duron for about 5 months with no problems - the cpu's still alive, but I must have a loose connection with the resistor for the volt mod. Problem is I epoxied over the soldered joints to keep them in place - if the loose connection is there I'm screwed. Oh well, all the more reason to upgrade to an EPOK 8K7A+ with DDR soon - 2.1V without a mod :)

Thats 2.25v if you pencil in the l7 bridges :)

NO, I don't normally browse the [H] forums, as there is alot of .. um well STUFF to wade through to get to the meat.
However, this link was posted on the main page at [H] and I read that several times a day for my news junkie fix.

Maybe the processor this guy got a hold of is something that could be a bit more common in a few months.

Even with all the proof he posted there, something still seems wrong, the combination of his amazing overclock and amazing memory benches triggers an alarm inside me. If he had one or the other alone, I could definately believe it. I'm leaning towards believing it, but I'm a wee bit suspicious.

I have not read the updates in the past 24 hours, but a few others noted that even with the same FSB the extra processor speed made Sandra give higher numbers on memory.
In other words, you get a lower memory score at 150fsb@1400 than you do at 150FSB@2000
They may yet discover the guys a fake, who knows. Id like to see a 3dmark2001 test.

Im still a bit suspect as even with that MASSIVE cooling setup it would'nt get down to the tempratures of a vapochill would it ?

We really need a bench with secure results that isn't affected by or detects the speed cheat. It would make life so much easier....

At this point I don't consider it a stable overclock. After running 3D Mark three or four times in a row, his system crashes. It's still impressive. The things this fellow knows, he knows very well.

Well impressive this overclock is, stable it is not.. At no point has he been able to run 3D mark at over 1.5 ghz which suggests that at any speed higher than this the system is unstable and a lot less impressive.
There currently seems to be a dispute over weather the screenshots are faked and this is something that nobody can prove, however I do not think they are edited with photoshop.
The owner of this impressive machine seems to defend this overclock by stating that the benchmark 3dmark2001 System info has a anti-cheat in it and that you can not cheat with WCPUCLK...it refreshes continously not to mention that you just can not fake Linpack benchmarks.
I do however dispute that these can not be faked as I have done so with the benchmark cheat I displayed on another post, I have faked all of these benchmarks easily and quickly and when the cheat is set to whatever speed I obtain results that appear to back each other up.

I am NOT saying that this overclock is faked, I am just trying to have healthy debate on a subject of interest to all of us
