i just got a 1gig tbird 266 axia 9 from newegg.com, and and iwill kk266-r mobo
it is currently at 136*10.5 = 1430 at 1.81v, 49 celsius folding... system temp is 28
what is the default voltage for this chip??? and what is the max temp i should let my chip get to?

Your temps are fine, and thats not a bad oc :)
I'm pretty sure stock vcore is 1.75 but some one correct me if i'm wrong.

I have a stock v-core of 1.87, so it depends on the chip. I think the 200mhz FSB chips run hotter.

I think 1.75 is right. I have to go by the shop and check the book.

do i go by the bios settings? or mbm5 reading?
i set it at 1.725, and it reads 1.78.
when i set it at 1.750, it reads 1.82...
which one do i go by?

I'd go by the mdm5 reading. most motherboards give a little extra voltage.

go by the higher one that way you wont burn it up with too much voltage

I don't know what mobo you are using but I can tell you that the Iwill kk266 gives .7(if I remember correctly) over the set voltage. So if you have it set at 1.85 you actually get 1.92.

No mobos reproduce voltage 100% accurately. If you set 1.75 in the BIOS, you usually get 1.81 or 1.82. If you set 1.85 you will probably get between 1.91 and 1.96.
The default voltage of Athlon CPUs is 1.75, and 1.5 for Durons.
