I am helping a friend work on a pc from his office. They have a legal copy of Windows 2000 and Office 2000 but they cannot find the keys. Is there any way to extract the key off the system so that we can re-format the hd and start over ? Again this is legal software that they bought and registrered.

i think that somewhere in the registry it lists the key. search around in there and you could probably find it

aida 32 will tell you product keys for all software installed plus alot of other sweet info
