Hi hopefully somebody can help me. I am thinking of getting an Abit kt7a with a 1Ghz Thunderbird. I would like to know if this is a good combo? Or are there better combos for around the same money? Would also appreciate some links to good retailers that ship to the UK?

Thanks.

Welcome to the forums! My first overclockers board was an Abit KT7a however from the problems I had ie random freezes I recommend getting an IWill KK266R a very stable and great board. About your processor if you are getting an 1000Mhz processor make sure the code is AXIA great little chip for overclocking.

The best UK site for overclocking hardware in UK is overclockers.co.uk (http://)
They are reliable and quickly get your order to you within 3-4days....

good look

I have a ABIT KT7A-Raid and love it. But everyone is abuzz about the Epox mobo atm. The Asus board mentioned is not bad either. I like Abit best :D..

I have the kt7a and like it a lot. I would recommend it, but any motherboard you get you'll need to tinker around with and play with to get the know the settings.
