I wish i could post pictures on this forum but since i cant ill just tell you what i did.
I have this cheap desktop boom stand creative mic that came with my SB live. I never use it because it never sounded right.
I used some $2. black knee high panty hose from K-mart and took some 12 guage coated copper wire from an old choke from a bass cabnet. Its pretty stiff wire its bendable but holds its shape well. I wrapped the wire around a water spray bottle thats about 2" in diamiter leaving the ends about 2" long the ends are how i mounted it.
I wrapped the panty hose aroung the wire and twist tied it to the back.
At first when i got this mic i thought it had been dropped or somthing because the diphram was so loose every breath would over load the mic and it would pop and max out the diaphram. For the heck of it i took my shirt and lifted it up over my mouth and talked into it and it sounded 10 X better so i figured a pop filter is what it needed.
It totaly helps, its still real sensative to humm, i think the humm from my fans its pickign up that vibration or somthing and it humms a little.

you've got pimpin' ghetto skillz, brotha!
That mic sounds overdressed. Can't you make some sort of ghetto digi camera out of an optical mouse, some old glasses and used duct tape or something? I'd like to see pictures, but I can imagine (I guess) what it looks like.

Endless eh? Would that mean that there is a possibliity that the possiblities are not endless?
Truthfully when he said optical mouse I thought of an old handheld scanner being used to take the pic....

Actually, i dont see y it wouldnt be possible to take a pic w/ the image sensor in a mouse. It might not be the best quality, but it should be possible.
