How high has anyone tested this processor with a standard heatsink and cooling fan? I just purchased one and am considering on overclocking it a bit. I was just curious as ta how high is a comfortable high. does that make sense? ;-)
i would sayif its a t-bird as high as it will go in windows without crashing in prime 95 with out a voltage mod, u "should" proball be able to hit 1.15, or 1.2, with a good heatsink and fan for like 20-30 bucks spent- 1.3,1.4, maybe.1.5, with luck, help, and good ram, and mobo, have fun, and be happy, ps if you want performance increase try more mem, like 256mb, or 512mb, its dirt cheap, and y the heck not, check it out at http://www.pricewatch.com prices are like 256mb-19$ 512- 36$
almost forgot, welcome to the forms, have a great day,btw if u were wondering how to o/c just private message me, or ask some one, people are 99.9% of the time freindly, and helpful.

i've got 384 megs of ram right now. it's pc133 but i think it'll do me for a while. I use the pc mainly for games and using 3d Studio Max to do computer animation. Most of the speed will come from the processor I think.
ure right most of it will, i didn't know so i just thought y not add it,btw if u ever are thinkin about buying anything for ure comp pricewatch.com is i think the best kept secret oin the web.

one question....where would I find these numbers? on the processor itself? lol...all I really know is what the processor is...if it will or will not work with this motherboard...and how to over clock it :)

You find the numbers on the CPU core, by checking the CPU database on the front of overclockers.com you should get a indication as to what speed may be possible, the beginners guides will also give you a good start into overclocking, and when you get stuck.. we will be here to help
