View Full Version : problem with pro media ultra's
I get no sound out of the right rear channel. actually more correctly it plays out of the center channell. the speaker itself is fine I tried switching that already. I'm using soundstorm audio on my nf-7s on the control panel it shows the sound going to the correct channel but it doesn't. Is the amp bunk or is there a simple fix. I love the sound quality of these speakers but if I can't get a solution today they are going back to best buy in favor of some z 680's

The way you have to connect the speakers to your soundstorm is listed below. Then you have to go in and play with the settings to get them to sound right.
Green to Green, Orange to Orange, Black to Black
yeah I got the connections right but no sound comes from the rear right channel. The speaker is fine but sound comes out of the center channel for the right rear. the center works correctly as well as the left rear. its only the right rear that is a problem.

You may wanna fudge with the settings on the breakout box for the speakers. That may be the issue.
Try turning the sound mixer volume down and the speaker volume up. That may do the trick.
Well I tried a bunch of things and no go so i brought them back to best buy. I've decided that for 400 bucks I can do better. for 400$ the inputs should be much more numerous. No fiber or coaxial digital input I mean come on. Plus I didn't really think the sound quality was all that great. So I've decided to buy a phillips home theater system and hook it to my computer. The reasons are as follows
1. fiber optic digital input matches with my nf7-s
2 progressive scan dvd 5 disk changer. its not necessayry but hell why not
3. the styling matches my system and personal tastes much better
4. Cost is the same even a little less.
I've had some trouble locating the set that I want the mx5500d without paying an arm and a leg for shipping, but I should be able to find some eventually, thanks for your responses.
