Windows XP freezes up on startup. This is on a computer I used to use but I made a new one as per the sig. Old comp is an intell 1600 on an p4b533 board I believe, 1024 crucial ram and 80gig maxtor hard drive with a geforce 4 4200. The computer worked fine and I had used the hard drive just fine as well, but now I reinstalled windows xp on it and it won't boot up past the windows startup, it loads I get the pointer and houglass and it doesn't go past that. It's not heat because it's running at 26c idle, I've reinstalled windows at least 4 times already and it's the exact same problem every single time. I can't put my finger on it I hope you guys can help.
