Right now I am running 11.5x133@1.8volts. After loading bios when I turn my multipier to 12, it turns into a black screen. What does this mean? Thanks

This is the 3dr post I have seen in 24hrs with people having trouble with your board and multiplier settings.
I would e-mail asus maybe they will be able to fix it with a new bios.
I guess its possible that your cpu just does not like that setting but seems to much of a coincidence.

I have a gigabyte mobo and I just learned that the reason the screen goes blank might be because the dram was set to 100mhz instead of 133. while the processor was running at 266. so it could be brain fartting because the two aren't in sync. just my $.02

I have the A7A266 w/ 10 dips using BIOS 1005
I'm currently using the 12x with noprob. I can't use the 11.5 multi, but this is what I must do to change the multis @ all:
1.
I shutdown, unplug power
2
I set the "Jumper-free dip to Jumper-mode"
I set the multi using the dips (as I have never been able to get at it in the BIOS
3
I clear the CMOS, and wait about a minute (If I didn't the system wouldn't even POST)
4
I change the Jumper back to Jumper-free
5
Then I can boot and everything is great!

If I waiver from any of these steps then it's a no-go.

Hope this helps!
