i just got my card and softmoddd it , i get minmal artifacting in some games but in other it's like OMG. well i've been doing reesearch and i've found that the omega 3.8s and 3.9s cause cards to rpduce excessive heat. so i'll be tryin my luck by using the 3.7s as soonas i can get them. also through a bit of personal expirimenting and reading, underclockin the card after it's been modded makes atrifacting worse.... maybe overclokin it a bit will help. anybody else got any ideas or tips i'm gonna play around w/ my card a bit and see what i can do.

I have no experience with a 9500np but when I flashed the bios on my old 8500le to a regular 8500 I got major artifacts when it was clocked at default 8500le speeds. oc'ing the 8500le to the default 8500 clock settings made all the artifacts go away.

The 9500 is a cool card. If it softmods, it's sweet, but if it doesn't, it generally overclocks very well. My old 9500 would run at 375/317, but it wouldn't softmod; my new card will softmod but it won't overclock worth crap. The core is good to about 350, but the RAM won't go 1mhz over 275 without artifacting. Infineon 3.6ns chips suck. :(

Overclock it and let us know how it does.
