i bought one 512mb kingston hyperx 3200 stick this april, and at the time it worked at default timings, speeds, and voltages quite well. (except my mobo always overvolts the ram by .1v) The ram was supposed to run at ddr400, 2.2.2.6 timings, at 2.6v. it now is running 2.5.3.3.7 timings, and 2.9 v because anything higher will cause my system to restart randomly. I once overclocked the ram to 230 (460 effective) at 3.1v. it worked, it was not stable. i could have gotten some benchmarks though, if i'd wanted to. I did that for probably five minutes, and then put it back down to normal speeds. My ram speed had already been falling, but that made it fall a whole lot. Do you suppose i should RMA the stick for not meeting its lifetime warranty of working at ddr400 at tight timings? or is there something i could be overlooking that could return my ram to normal. Thanks a lot guys!

I would love to tell you to RMA it but since you OC'ed it :( I can't give that recommendation I'm sorry. I know it hurts the pocket book but I don't know what else to say. Anyone else have any ideas?

It might have burnt out.

I think that you probably do have a faulty stick of RAM and I'll tell you why. An overclocker over at xtremesystems was putting 3.5V through a pair of HyperX 3000 sticks and they were running just fine. Now, those sticks had BH-5 chips on them and I'm not sure what chips are on your RAM, but as far as HyperX being able to handle voltage - I hardly believe that 3.1 would have burnt out that RAM unless it's faulty.
