Hi ya all, i have a problem..... I want to overclock my Duron 900 over 1ghz but Icant go over 9*0 when i set the multiswitch to 9*5 it jumps back to 9*0...
so some one said i must Unlock my CPU (Paul the Hatter)...I looked around and saw someone how had the sameob i think. There it stood that Imust set the volts to something (I haveset to 1,85) the he said it should work fine too set the multiswitch more... But hmmm no that didn't work so..... what should i do????? help plz!!!

AMD CPU's have the ability to be overclocked in two ways. One is by adjusting the FSB (Front Side Bus), the other is by unlocking the processor as you mention in your post which requires reconnecting the L1 bridges on the topside of the chip.
Using either method, most CPU's tend to reach a point where they require more voltage to attain a higher speed via fsb or multipler. I would suggest you check the "Tips and Techniques" section on the main page. There is a wealth of general overclocking info and specific information on AMD and Intel CPU's and the methods of overclocking each.

Its kinda hard to read what your saying. But, to change the multipyier you must unlock the cpu.

Hi, thanx for the help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!i read the section that paul said and yeas.... what tape can i use and can i use all "regular school" pencills??? thanx!!

are you talking about trace tape? find it

Yes you can use regular pencils, but I advice you pencil your bridges in with pressure. for the dfrister kit idea you can use regualar tape.

THX sky!! my poor english leads me too nothing........ how does a lead pencil look can i buy one in my book shop???? and abou the paint (car back window anti fogger paint) is it good to use????
