Look (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=23128&pagenumber=2) at the bottom of page 2 for screen shots.

OPP at Xtremesystems.org has a score of 30,014 but he cannot publish it yet. The Futuremark site will not currently accept scores higher than 30,000. Futuremark has said that they hope to have the problem fixed within 24 hrs.

WTG OPP !!!

That rocks!! Notice his RAM? Corsair 3200 low latency, more proof that low latency beats bandwidth in 3D applications.

Well he is only running his FSB at 230MHz. He only need's 400MHz Corsair to run 460MHz 24/7. Also, the bandwidth on FX systems is insane even at 400MHz (stock). At 460MHz it is rediculous.:D

It's not a matter of "only needs 3200" - the point is that 3200 with timings of 2-2-2-5 produces higher scores than PC4000 at 3-4-4-8, so anything that can't run low timings is a waste. I'm curious how far he could take Mushkin 3500 2-2-2-6 (really big coin).

This is a interesting article regarding latency vs. bandwidth (http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleID=873)

Yeah he switched the RAM to OCZ and said he liked it alot better (preformin' better).

Who, OPPAINTER?

I don't know where you got that info. I was at his house last Wednesday night checking out my own OCZ RAM (I got some defective DDR and OPP offered to check it in his system since we run the same systems except for cooling). Also, we spoke about it today on the phone. I believe you are mistaken.

He's not done testing the OCZ but preliminarily the Corsair kicks it's butt pretty soundly. I'm trading my defective OCZ for the Corsair. It absolutely rocks, as is the case with most Corsair.:D

He's already done something incredible. That clock on his A64 3200+ is insane, as is his score for a single channel CPU.

If you mean he's going to beat OPP, I wouldn't count on it unless he gets an FX. To be on top that's what it's going to take until Intel or AMD comes out with something better. Right now the FX is king.:)

Just got a hold of some OCZ mem, looks good so far, it blows the Corsair away. I just started and does 236 sofar at 2.95V.

You are not paying attention. He did not mention the memory in terms of it's performance. He was speaking specifically about it's ability to run at a high FSB. If he had been referring to the actual performance he would have posted supporting scores to back up that claim.

OPP will be the 1st to tell you that a high FSB does not necessarily mean better performance. Some memory will automatically relax timings even though the BIOS reports them to be tighter as a safety feature.

I would expect the OCZ to run at higher frequencies since the modules are 256MB as opposed to 512MB for the Corsair. It's performance is much slower than the Corsair though, as evidenced by the high scores produced by the Corsair.

Do you believe everything you read? Perhaps this?

Yeah, right.

This OCZ ECC DDR (same exact model OPP is testing) is really pretty. I wish mine was not defective.:(
