What's wrong with the 1GHz Duron processor? All six of the local stores in my city have stopped shipping the 1Gig Duron prcessor only a week after it came out. One store only had 6 processors in stock! AMD has stopped the shipping of the 1GHz Duron officially. I will phone around again today.

I believe they may have stopped the 1GHz shipping because maybe they're gonna ship Morgan instead maybe? Hey Wild_Andy, did you see the pic of the 950MHz Morgen? I seen it somewhere on da net but lost it. If you have it or can find it, post, I wanna see the morgan up close!

about my bro's CPU, its a 1GHz Duron with the same code as the 950 version. We've had it boot as high as 1333 but had to put it back to 1266MHz MAX with 1.775Volts because at 1333 no matter what we did, it still crashed.

1266MHz with 1.775Volts is impressive still for the Duron core. AMD is trying to squezze like they did with the AMD K7 (SLOTA) architexture Athlons.

They might be in short supply ? I am impressed seeing a Duron core going to 1.2 gig. They just must have come out with the 1 gig cores or I am missing something.

yea, we were hoping it would hit 1.33GHz just with converting the FSB over to 266 but that wouldnt do it so we had to back the multipliter down a notch to 9.5. Still impressive in my books thou.

The 1266MHz Duron is similar in performance with the 1000MHz T-bird.

one other question, does the morgan core have SSE intructions intergrated like the Palamino?

I just got a 700 duron with 1999 as a year on it.

First day and it is @945.

Not bad for $35.
