Hi everybody.. i've got a new P4 2.6C and i'm running it with a SP94 and my temps are low enough, but i wanted to know what is the danger vcore limit with this intel chips since i'm overclocking it and i've always used AMD and i know how mucho tu push it there... but here i just don't wanna go too high (as tu burn the chip un 6 months) is not worth it... :) i'm running a P4P800 Deluxe by the way...
thanx in advance, MatiasZ

does ur p4p800 deluxe have audio problems like crackling and sometimes high pitching noises emiting from ur speakers?

ehhh... not really... i'm actually not using the analog output and the digital output is not the best neither... but i don't get weird stuff at all... is just that it doesn't seem to keep an "open" conection with the external receiver, so to say... but overall i don't have big troubles with the onboard sound...
by the way... the reason i'm asking about the volting stuff is because running the intel stock unit i tried to overclock a little and i noticed that whenever i go over 240FSB (which is 3.12G) i need to bump all the way up to 1.675 vcore (and the vcore readings even displays it as 1.73 or so), and is not that i'm having "stability" issues under this vcore... if i set the fsb to for example 250, vcore to 1.625 and reboot, i get a blank screen and i could stare at it for years if i don't power off-on again, and afterwards i get the " overcloking failed!" message... im' running 5:4 memory ratio by the way... any ideas? i haven't tried with the SP94 yet since i haven't really installed it, but my temps are at around 30ºC with the stock cooler so i don't see a temperature problem here... do you guys (if somebody is reading this at all :D) think i have come to the CPUs limit?? or pluging in the SP94 will help considering i can't even get video signal without vcore tweaking with the stock... oh i'm confused... amd was so much easier :p
