OK i have mushkin level 2 512 (256x2) dual channel ram.

what should i set my memory in the nf7-s bios for best performance?

ok there is

row active delay:
ras to cas delay:
row precharge delay:
cas:

what should ii set them too?

also there is

cpu thermal throttling: what should i set that too?

For best performance you should put

row active delay - 5 but some people get better results with higher setting
ras to cas delay - 2
row precharge delay - 2
cas - 2

If you cant get these timings try raising the DDR voltage.
Put the CPU throttling setting to disabled.

Well, more important than timing is making sure you can run mem synch with system FSB...

Once you can get that stable, than start tightening up your mem timings...

As for timings, i've found tras 11 to be a surprise "magic" setting on my system at FSB200/DDR400 synch...

I wholeheartedly agree with changing the memory settings to "user defined" and setting it to 5-2-2-2 as joebroni said.

Also, you can set the ratio to 3/3, 4/4, 5/5, or 6/6 - they all mean the same thing. I leave mine at 6/6 to run in sync with the FSB.
