I've got my new 1.2 TBird AXIA Y up to 1340 (103 x 13) and up to 1365 with moderate success. I know I have some temperature issues at the mo as well 31 degree system temp at idle and 38 for CPU. Am modding case. But I was told that the KT7 doesn't handle high FSB speeds very well and that I really need a KT7A or better. Is this true?

I was thinkin of an IWILL K266 or somthing like that with DDR RAM support for when i can afford it. I have 640mb of PC 133, I think it's PQI RAM, so I'm not too keen to get rid of it as it's alot of RAM, but I wouldn't mind getting better speeds.

If I up the FSB too high the whole system just freezes at boot up or laoding windows. Definitely can't run at 10.5 x 33.

What do you guys think? New Mobo? New RAM? or what?

Cheers

are you making any ajustments in the bios uping the cvolts /io/ memory timings ??

i have a 1.2 on a kt7 that happily clicks along at 1420 with 128/133 cas2 generic memory/

the PQI memory is not that great in my opinion.......as it doesnt o/c a lot(sometimes cant!)

so i would maybe replace the ram then o/c using multiplier and fsb

I've got the voltage core @ 1.85V, should I change the I/O voltage?
Got the RAM on Turbo settings.

What are the full settings that your mobo uses?
