tempting...anyone else getting in on this?
I emailed the guy asking him some questions. The auction says it's the 256mb card, but the 128mb card is pictured.
some of those cards i noticed from Internet I shop...
i bought some stuff from them a while ago, it crapped out on me at first completely random, but they replaced it no problem, then a random part on my computer went out and when i was trying to fix it, i accidently blew the mobo, they even still replaced it with a BETTER mobo :|
what im trying to get at is they honor their warrenties well, so even if it craps out im sure u can get a replacement :\

Heheh...not particuarly. :)
I checked 'em out, it's from a company called "CloningPC", they're website is underconstruction, no resellerratings, though they do have positive feedback. (Doesn't say much, IMO)
I'd be nervous sending them $220 for a card that should be $300+.

well yeah, but they sell you the cheapest crap possible to make the most money.
my parents bought a system from them (without asking me first) with an lcd monitor. the cpu fan CAME broken, the lcd broke after 2 days, the 2nd monitor they got was a lower model and THAT broke a week later. i looked over the entire system, not ONE part was a brand of which i heard of. the only think that was name brand was the amd cpu...lol
in closing, i say they have great prices and honor the warranties very well, but they are not worth the trouble.
i would just spend the extra $ to get name brand stuff that wont break in the first year/month :P

Keep scrolling down past those, there are Pro's listed at 219...about 5 or so grouped together. Were they non pro's, that is more believable for sure.

If you buy a 9800 on Ebay:
MAKE SURE THE PERSONS FEEDBACK IS STELLAR
DO NOT BUY A 'TESTED' 9800
ONLY BUY A SEALED NEW RETAIL BOXED ITEM
A few people here have recieved dead or dying 9800's on EBAY.

Nope.
It looks like they may have pulled them, there were about 6-8 of them now they are gone.
Someone must have realised the mistake. And they ended it.
HERE (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2768663157&category=40158) is one that shows it befor.

i think posting ebay deals on here only makes the price go up for the few on here that keep quiet about what they want to bid on

When there are multiple items with the BUY IT NOW option the only thing that can happen is the seller will sell out, but its not going to raise the price any if the BUY IT NOW and the starting price are the same.
Just in case anyone hasn't caught this yet, these are non-pro 9800's. The dealer looks reputable to me. $219.95 + $18 = $237.95 shipped. Plus, with the Samsung memory, these are reknown to O/C to 9800 pro speeds... right? I'm not interested in one though since I just bought a 9700 pro the other day off of ebay; still waiting for it.

I bought my 9800 pro on ebay, I payed $325.00 plus shipping, when buying on ebay check out the persons feedback rating this will help you decide wether this person is trustworthy or not.

"if it's to good to be true, then it probably is" - just remember this besides someone's ratings...I almost fell for that one too but interacting with the seller had not raised my trust and confort level to some minimum acceptance...conversing with an eBay seller also helps at times (not always though)...

I agree totally, but a lot of people that appear to have good feedback manipulate the system via leaving the buyer retalitory feedback (Undeserved) Then the unscrupous seller manipulates his feedback via Squaretrade, and since the buyer wants the Negative removed Squaretrade will remove both the negatives and the buyer loses. Feedback can be manipulated. Thats why I suggest you only buy SEALED items on Ebay, as there are way to many hooligans that appear to be good sellers. Granted there are plenty of honest folk on Ebay, but if you bid on a 'tested' or an OEM high dollar computer item you may wish you hadn't. Its far safer to pay a little more at Newegg rather than to try to save 5 or 10 dollars.
This is one example of a Ebay scumbag that Shafted one of our members, http://cgi2.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback&userid=appleboy43 the member here unfortunately entered Squaretrade against my advise and no feedback is there from him or the seller(both were removed). I spent hours on this case and I won't get involved with Ebay bad trades because of the time I vested into this and the member here didn't have the guts to stand up to this bully.
This Ebayer doesnt appear to have terrible feedback, thats because he manipulates/Strongarms the poor buyers into Squaretrade, This guy is a disgrace, also he doesn't leave feedback until he is sure you wont leave him a Negative. When One pays fast you leave a Positive but this shady fellow is as shady as they come. This Seller send an e-mails pretending to be an attorney when he is simply a college student.

just like to say that it was a scam.. he had a ton of high priced items and he asked for payments immediately..
if you look at his account now it listed as no longer registered.
he was gonna take your cash and run
when it sounds too good to be true it prob is =P

Apparently I'm too easily deceived... lesson learned: buyer beware!

Personally, I wouldn't buy anything big on ebay. Too many con-artists around. I would much rather buy here on the forums even if it costs me a few extra bucks. The sense of security is worth it in my opinion. Thanks for all the work you put into the classifieds, SSS and the other classifieds mods.

ive lost over 1200 dollars on ebay so far, so ive stuck to paying the extra at newegg :|
