Yes, but make sure it is NOT the soft lead type. I found some high graphite content ones in a arts and crafts store.

Make sure you have some lead in your pencil. My grandad told me that.

yep, that'll be just fine. i've used HB, B and F (whatever that is!), all successfully.

The numbers on the pencil indicate how hard the lead is. It usually only makes a difference to artists. I prefer 4H leads when I draw. I don't remember what order they go in, though. Been some time since I played with that.

lol!! i know what they mean! i've just never seen an "F" rating before, and haven't since. i'd say it's about comparable in hardness to a "B" or thereabouts.
